I am worried it's back already. Would appreciate advice on what to do given my situation and hearing from anyone in a similar situation. I'm starting pelvic floor PT next week. I'm kinda afraid to ask my surgeon, they are really intimidating and I feel like I will be told "I got everything, it must be another issue, go to pelvic floor PT".
Context: Post lap I had NO endo/pevlic pain, only pain around my incisions. About two weeks ago (6 weeks post surgery) I starting having occasional stabbing pain left rear of my vagina. Its become more frequent and now there is an accompanying ache. I also consistently get cramps with orgasms. Obviously I don't want it to be more endo. I went with a highly regarded surgeon, I asked three of his patients about their outcomes and none had complications or recurrence after 1/2/and 3 years respectively. The surgeon is very focused on 'preserving nerves' so I'm assuming it's not nerve damage since that is his speciality (although I realize no one is perfect).
Where my head is at: I'm hoping that it is pain from a nerve healing or something else healing. I had some endo removed from around the sigmoid colon. And 7 other places. Maybe it’s related to pelvic floor and ligament issues. My ligaments were riddled with endo and I have no pelvic floor muscle tone. None (And haven’t for 6 years) . (but you'd think tight floor = pain, not loose).
I’m starting Pelvic Floor PT soon, I’m hoping it will help. But should I be doing anything else other than hopes and prayers?
(Also did anyone have loss of sensation around vulva/clit after surgery that later came back? I used to be a ‘lefty’ and it just isn’t as sensitive on that side any more. I’m trying not to think of it but I am kinda freaking out).
