I play alot of multiplayer with freinds and we only reach the late game 1/3 rd of the time and the mid game half of the time. We're starting to get back into he game after a few months hiatus and our games have gotten longer.

Something I've noticed as I get more into the riftborn is that without resource rich planets and a few really hot systems they're pretty meh.

When I play a grand strategy/4x game I lm immediately drawn to those with massive production since it just feels so godamn good, and when I u get those hot planets with a rainbow of strategics they're fucking awesome but that's so rare

I play them tall and versatile, waiting till the mid-late game to really start doing much, am I playing them wrong or do I just need to lower my standards? Also what's the most fun race/play style to u?
