The Emperor has managed to bring some measure of stability to his realm. Before the next wave of expansion, he wishes to bring some internal prosperity to the French, and to restore Paris' ancient prestige and grandeur.

His projects shall be on a grand scale and he believes it is essential to secure competent, visionary leadership to rebuild the city, of the sort possessed by Baron Haussmann, Prefect of Paris under Napoleon III ; and it is for this post that the Emperor has recently opened competitions to select, hoping to find a worthy successor to the legacy of the Baron.

Candidates will have to pass several exams on a variety of subjects which will test their intelligence and culture, and will then be invited to an audience with the Emperor. The winner will be the new Prefect of Paris, and will hopefully lead the city to future greatness.
