Trinimac devotee

Hi Might be a dumb question but I follow trinimac and I'm at 125% devotion right now but no matter how much I pray I can't seem to activate his devotee power
Am I missing something?
The wording is kinda confusing :
"when praying, you may become ethereal and invulnerable until your next attack"
May could mean you can ie I expected the game to give me a choice
But may could also mean there's a 1% probability it'll happen so keep praying
Does anyone have the answer?
