Managing DLC/Cleaning games list

I am still putting the finishing touches on my first build. I have a later release console that has DLC and update files associated with some games. At the moment, I have all files, base game dlc/updates in that system's subfolder of usrdata/roms.

This leads to 2-5 entries in my game carousel.

Can I just move the updates and dlc to a different directory, point my jinxed emulator there to clean up the games list to only 1 entry per game?

EDIT: This worked to clean things up for my games list.
