So i worked Sunday night into Memorial day from 6pm-12am. I then stayed an additional 6 hours (so 6pm-6am) because of the workload and only having 1 employee after my scheduled off time.
Fast forward to Thursday and my boss said that the company will not pay me for working that additional 6 hours into Memorial Day because i (wasn’t scheduled for it.)
Does he have to pay me because i was still working? Or does he have the right to withhold the money for those 6 hours? Keep in mind it was double time so thats $192 i wont be making. Any advise is very welcome.
