Between the siege breaker and loyalist consul, which should I buy?

First off I’m gonna give either a jump pack to go with my assault squad (maybe a combat shield), I just don’t know which one to pick because a thunder hammer is good but a combi weapon could come in handy. Either way they are to challenge other champions or sergeants. I’m trying to decide which one would be more convenient in a situation where I need to remove a champion off an objective. Which weapon would you guys depend on more to remove/wound the champion?
