Can you be an empath but be cold?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if being an empath and being cold could coexist. An example would be feeling a coworker’s anger radiate in the form of heat but not really caring to intervene or diffuse the situation. I feel what other’s feel, but do little to nothing about it.
