Post Body

So, this is going to be a long one. I am an empath, but I also suffer from depression. As a result, I don't generally feel emotions unless they are from someone or something else. This has led me to comics, books, and YT. You see, reading comics, as is the main point of this post, allows me to feel what the characters feel. However, this also includes negative emotions, and it's usually flared well beyond what the author is expecting their readers to feel. What I mean by this is, let's say I'm reading a romance comic. There is the main clear pair, but the author introduces a rival that is mostly meant to be a joke. Logically I know that it's not going to pan out, but when one of the main couple gets jealous, I find myself being OVERLY angry on his behalf, to the point I have to stop and calm down.

I am mainly wondering if anyone else has this issue?

Tldr: Reading comics that show jealous characters make me feel their jealousy tenfold
