Love the album. But does anybody think Em is still pulling his punches in terms of cancelling himself?
Post Body

First off I love this album. Lots of issues that have plagued Em recently have been fixed or improved

The beat selection is better The production is better Less terrible features Less rapping fast for the sake of rapping fast Less corny puns

Also, I touch on the F word. I am pro gay/trans all that no issues with them.

There are some things I don't like tho

•I still feel like he's still pulling his punches in terms of being controversial however. The whole album was poised as this "Eminem tries to cancel himself" concept. For example, at the beginning of the album he complains you can't use the F word (faggot) or the R word (retarded) anymore. He then proceeds to say "retarded" a few times (to show he doesn't give a fuck) but not once says "faggot" But he has a LOT of negative things to say about midgets I feel like midgets are this placeholder of "what controversial things can I aim at a specific demographic that might ruffle some feathers" with midgets being the safest option.

If he really wanted to "cancel himself" he could spend alot of bars gay bashing or actually saying the F word

It doesn't even have to be aimed at gay people or gay bashing

Him just saying faggot as a substitute for bitch/dickhead/asshole I feel like would still be more controversial.

Even just saying stuff like

"MGK the little faggot's still throwing subs"

Or

"Sick of these critics cos they-average Suck a hundred ol' dicks Like a bundle of sticks I'll break faggots"

A.I: There are certain lines in various songs where you hear his older voice. Most likely he wrote and recorded the lines then used an A.I filter. I am not the biggest fan. At the beginning of Habits for a split second it didn't even sound like old or new Em. I thought a feature came in for a second.

I also, during the last year have been listening to a few A.I Eminem songs and albums. Hate me for it or not. I did Some random people wrote and recorded songs and put Eminem's voice on it. And some were absolutely fire. To then finally get an actual Eminem project and I'm hit with large chunks of some verses that just sound like the same people at home doing it I was a little dissapointed

Also side notes:

•Am I tripping or weren't Dre and 50 confirmed for this album?

•Brand New Dance flow reminds me of Can-I-Bitch
