New Album (Preferably Bold) Predictions
Post Body

I searched and haven't found a thread just like this... hopefully it's welcome. If not, downvote my ass.

What are your predictions for the new album? I'm not talking about release date, number of YouTube views, billboard position, etc. I'm talking about your substantive predictions-- the bolder and more specific, the better. The type where you turn to your friend when the album drops and say "I fucking TOLD you! I called it."

With the resurrection of Slim Shady, I feel like the possibilities are endless. Houdini has been fodder for our nostalgia. The 00s track sampling, the superhero costume (complete with the stuffed crotch), the "creation of a monster", Paul being a downer...need I go on? Every time I listen to the song or watch the video, I pick up on something else.

What's the rest of this album gonna look like? With the name being the Death of Slim Shady and the first song being such a callback-- what say you? Call it now.

My predictions:

  1. There will be a PSA to open album (and another Paul skit probably)
  2. An updated song for Hailie
  3. Dr. Dre feature... maybe a nod to Guilty Conscience with older Em counseling younger Em too
  4. Britney Spears mentioned
  5. Makes fun of Ja Rule about Firefest

If you say it now, it's documented. Don't say "I knew it" next week!

I feel you...many albums let me down hard. Not even saying they were bad, just that they didn't hit for me the way the early ones did. But this is such a blatant callback that I can't help but be hopeful.
