Yes, this show tries to paint Sylvie as this intimidating, cool, hard to get along with, and mean boss but can you blame her?
How would you feel as a boss if you got an employee who clearly didn’t deserve to be there? Someone that doesn’t know your customs, traditions, the country, or even the language and gets mad at you and your country when things are different from back home?
As Sylvie said, she doesn’t care about the country, their ways, or their language so why should she like her or invest time in someone who won’t be there forever? Especially because Emily has no actual interest in Paris, but rather, Paris is a stepping stone for her career.
