So my late grandmother whom I called Mimi got me into embroidery when I was a kid, probably around 5 years old, and I'd practice on pillowcases. We still have a few of them in my parents cedar closet. Anyway, I want to get back into it as my little sister bought me a kit on amazon. Just wondering if it's all going to come flooding back to me & be easy or if it'll be hard? It looks SO fun & there are SO many cute & sassy patterns on Etsy that I want to hopefully someday buy & complete! Part of me feels that I should just get some practice fabric & practice general stitches found on Youtube. Is that the best route to go? Or just I just dive in headfirst into that kit my lil sis got me? Weirdly enough, tomorrow (March 2nd) is the anniversary of my Mimi's death. She died in 1999 after having a tough battle with bone & lung cancer. Getting back into this hobby would make me feel closer to her after missing her for so long. Your thoughts & opinions are important to me, so tell me what you think is my best way to get back into it, thanks!
