how real and authentic is the Tupelo house?

This past summer I went to Tennessee with a detour to Tupelo. Anyone know the history of this place and house? I want to know how real and authentic it is, or is it a glorified replica ? Is this this actual wood and house Vernon used the build it? And why all the other shotgun houses was torn down except this one?
I remember the tour guide saying the ice place and stove was original Authentic to the house. I know Elvis came back to Mississippi in the 50s? Didn’t he buy the piece of land or something
