So, I’ve never really wanted a wedding. Even when I was religious I only wanted a small backyard thing. But especially after seeing my boyfriends sisters wedding in June I knew I wanted an elopement. I’m MOH for my best friend and she was surprised I don’t want a wedding. However, my mom is dead and my best friend is starting IVF so who would help me plan?

I have a feeling we will elope secretly before a real wedding to appease his family. Honestly, I really don’t want it even if they’re paying (I think this may be a condition I make). But reading other people’s stories I’m truly excited to elope in secret without anyone knowing we are already married then doing the show later. I’d totally prefer a casual dinner as I’ve already found this cool barcade near my family that is totally more our style.

As a way to procrastinate and relieve stress in grad school I’ve been browsing this subreddit for ideas and looking up venues/photographers/locations. So much so my boyfriend is getting excited too. :)
