Moving back home
Post Body

Hello All,

Iļø know this isnā€™t the busiest sub in the world but Iļø figured Iļø could give it a shot. The gist is:

My wife and are are looking to move back to Elkhart after a couple years in Indy. Both of us have lost jobs due to office cuts, company restructuring, and even management changes....and so we decided the time has come to head back home. My family is Elkhart rooted, here is Goshen, and we are both Concord grads

Here is where I could use some perspective. We both have to find jobs (which are quite abundant Iļø am aware) before we can move, we have to find a house, and whatever jobs we take need to at least equal our income here (about 75k for the household). She has a background in science but has been doing administrative/secretarial stuff. Iļø have a background in media but for the last year have been a carpenters apprentice.

Iļø know that RV jobs are everywhere and piece rate can earn you a lot of money, but does little to help you get approved for a mortgage. Iā€™m looking for someone that might have an idea where I should start looking or where my wife should start looking. Most of our family members have been in the same jobs for 15 years so they donā€™t have much to help us on. We would like to stay in the Concord area too.

Any thoughts are appreciated! We canā€™t wait to be back home...Iā€™ve gone too long without Nelsonā€™s.

Cheers!

Edit: Damn iOS error....
