I've never mined before and I fully understand each mining operation.

Now I'm planning on doing some mining as soon as I return from my circumnavigation of the Milky Way.

I'm beyond extreme patience, because made more than half of my 500 million through freight hauling, without the use of 3rd party tools (Because I didn't know of their existence). And these payouts were 1-50 million each.

Now my questions are:

What is considered "the best" and "the worst" mining?

What is the fastest and slowest pace for mining if it exists?

Is it the payouts of system by system?

or am I missing something?

I know everything was basically nerfed and I know there used to be big talk about LTD and Void Opals... but they seemed to have fallen silent.

I know commanders used to make millions and near billions, ship depending.
