Help Fed Rank isn't changing.

So I've been grinding my way up through the fed ranks and I finally unlock chief perry officer. So I do all the missions get that done and I go like 111.3 lys away to get a assualt ship. When I get there it says I dont have th rank!!! I check my reputation status scrwwn and im still 100% petty officer. I've tried doing 3 different navy missions, completed them ansd still nothing. Can someone please help me. Thanks
