What are the best weapons for an adder?

Currently using two fixed small burst lasers and a gimballed multicannon for my medium hardpoint.
I'm not having that much problem with dogfights, but i feel like i could use something with a little more "oompfh" than a multicannon. But every time i thought of switching i looked for other things they seemed to have such low ammo count, so that's why i didn't think of switching.
