I recently convinced a friend of mine who stopped playing Elite a long time ago to buy Odyssey and play again.

However, when we tried to play yesterday, we simply couldnt find eachother at all. We tried to send eachother wing invites but they would never materialize. we tried relogging and even exiting the game completely several times but still that wouldnt work either. We even tried to start a private group but still nothing. We were in a pretty empty system in open and no matter what we tried nothing would work.

Wondering if anyone has any fixes or similar issues.

Edit:forgot to add that friend and I each live on two different continents and where he is at the internet isn’t exactly highly regarded for its speed.
