To find Raxxla..

Post Body

I've played this game for almost 4 years to the date of purchase, I've made and lost fortunes... I've yet to buy a fleet carrier.

I've only ever owned and stored 4 ships the whole time I've played, I've yet to buy the Federation Corvette or the Imperial Cutter.. I've always meant to.

For some reason or other the 4 ships is all I've ever needed.

I've done every role in the game, although clumsy and by many standards of the player base ineffective, but it works best for me doing it my way.

I've searched like so many others before me the quest for Raxxla and this year I realized a mistake I've made...

I'm not giving up the search for Raxxla, but I'm no longer looking for it either... Let me explain.

I've studied the codex time and again, I've scoured the internet looking for inspiration, ideas, and clues and while everyone has good opinions.

I've decided a new approach to finding Raxxla, I'm no longer searching for Raxxla. I'm going to let Raxxla find me instead.

Ever heard the expression. "Sometimes what you're looking for, is often found under your nose"

I've always been good at finding things, maybe it's not always what was expected, it's a small bit of dialog, lore previously hidden in backstory, and sometimes just little intricate details missed by the coding development, little things that..

Well, I'm going to find Raxxla exactly as I said I will... I'm no longer going to look and search anymore, it will instead find me.

I'm going to let the deciding factors of the game naturally guide me. Like a stick floating on the river moving forward into rapids and waterfalls.

I will become this stick and just see where I land... Maybe I'll hit the shoreline, maybe I won't...

Using this same analogy. The shoreline is probably the main player base of those searching for Raxxla, stuck and immovable, vain attempts to find the fabled Raxxla, the waterfall awaits just beyond... I'm going to just drift and see where this river will take me.

What brought me to this idea? A little piece of dialog I discovered, a little bit of the codex I've skipped over, and a culmination of other thoughts.. I've created a new approach of finding it, but not searching for it.

Before some of you leave your insightful comments, because there's always one somewhere.. Raxxla EXISTS in game as a physical location, and no, it's not called Raxxla either.

At one point I thought Raxxla was a name of a station or planet, but like I said... A little piece of dialog came my way that opened my mind to a new thought.

Raxxla in reality is something different entirely...

Raxxla is a journey, but nothing like the Chinese proverb "The journey of a thousand miles, begins with one step"

It's a physical journey of itself!

I'm revisiting everything with this this new perspective As I said. Raxxla will find me, not the other way around.

I'll let deciding factors determine how I'll find Raxxla without looking.

As I said, I am now the stick floating freely on the water. Letting the rapids decide how I float to the waterfall.

Raxxla awaits just beyond the waterfall, the journey to the waterfall however, is arduous.
