Nothing but sidewinders :(

Seriously, what's the deal? Before the previous update I almost always got only sidewinders at RES. Now I get almost always sidewinders and occasionally an adder.
Is there any trick to finding a place with... say... cobras or vipers? What am I doing wrong. RES seem to have a more consistent supply of baddies then nav points.
I tried searching this site but nothing but obvious info, it seems.
