I am in Washington state, any tips or info on becoming an elevator mechanic would be great. It seems there are certificates required and an apprenticeship... I haven't done a whole lot of research, but the few minutes of Googling didn't give me a clear step by step.
Been thinking about doing this for ages, it always just seemed like an interesting thing to look into. Is there anything about the job that people should consider before getting into it?
All I know is that it can be dangerous, you are paid well, and there are probably alot of misconceptions about it.
