Is there anything you can do with the Digitakt that you can't do with the Analog RYTM MK2?
Post Body

I'm trying to pick my first "real" drum machine (I've been using a korg sample for many years), and I want to get one I'll play for 10 years, so I'm OK with the price of the RYTM. I like to jam on the machine, improvise, record that improvisation, and then slice the resulting loops to construct songs. I understand the RYTM is more of a performance-friendly device, has a big sample library, and I like programming analog synths, so I'm leaning that way.

However, it seems like the "slice machine" (and maybe other ones) AREN'T in the RYTM? That might sway me towards the less expensive option to start.

As a curveball, the RYTM MK1 and Digitakt are literally the same price right now. I suspect I will be annoyed by aspects of the MK1 that I can't predict without living with it for 10 months, but they do seem to be very cheap. Is it worth lookin hard at MK1 instead of the Digitakt assuming they cost the same amount?

PS I know there are a bunch of threads on this but I read them all and I'm still not sure where I'd be better off starting :).
