I know zero about electronics, but I do know that the control board on my brand new washer is going haywire

Post Body

Against my better judgment I bought a portable washing machine, brand new in a sealed box but from a private party seller that I was iffy about. I've only used it 5 or 6 times but there is something very wrong and I believe it is a control board since it is a very simple unit and the only other parts are the pump and the motor. The buttons do all sorts of weird things and some of the buttons don't even work at all. I ended up taking out the control board because it was pretty simple, but now what? Aside from looking for any obvious signs of breakage, what should I be checking out? The brand is black and decker, and I've called the manufacturer a few times but they are of zero help.
