Choosing specialization

I wanted to do specialization in power electronics or control systems, but few suggested me don’t go for that specialization instead go for embedded or VLSI. So I am in a dilemma choosing between these two, so can anyone, please help me out like which one is better in future scope and Job perspective. It would be great help. Thank you.
