Post Body

I need to run dc power (20 volt dc) underwater (80 feet) to a heating pad for research. Idk if there is any safety concerns or other things that I should think about. I plan on soldering the heating pad wires to a 10/2 wire and insulate the joint with some rubber shrink wrap to insulate it from the salt water. The wire will be run up to a power station above the ice. I would Like to follow some kind of standard for my report at the end of the project. Any help would be appreciated. Also, for clarification Iā€™m only concerned with the power transfer between the pad and the supply. Iā€™m going to epoxy the pad to keep the salt water out.
