Transitioning From CS to EE (Work)
Post Body

Hi all, hop you are all as pretty as I am feeling today.

I graduated with an electrical and computer engineering degree in 2018, but have been working in webscale back-end development for a large European company for the past 5 years.

It has not been fun. I am very good at programming, but I find the job to be extremely tedious and the sheer lack of engineering discipline/care/knowledge is crippling. I really do think the term Software Engineer should be outlawed - there is no engineering going on here.

Anyway, I can rant all day, but...

I am thinking of switching it up and going back to EE. I don't regret my experience or expertise in software. I would'nt mind focusing on low level drivers and such. Has anyone gone through the process of switching over? Any advice?
