Like the title states I’m a brand new electrical engineer and I am being sent into the field to do an arc flash study. We will be canvassing a local power plant and gathering a ton of pictures just on various gear. I’m confident on what an MCC looks like at this point but what does it DO? Same with switchgears? We’re also encountering VSD and UPS? The acronyms with this profession are exhausting! 😂 I’m trying to avoid asking really green questions even tho I’ve got no problem probing my supervisor. Just trying to understand fully what I’m doing rather than being an overpaid photographer 😆
