Looking for a wheel

I have a around 1 mile each way commute daily with about weekly longer trips of up to maby 10mi. Im relitivly large, 6'0 and 215 lbs. I want one wheel to last me 2-3 years but can do basic maintenance. Any recommendations sub $1000 is ideal.
