So the other day I did my first long ride with my new Klima. The previous day I test drove it from 100-80%, then I drove it from 80%-25%. I let it cool down for a few hours, then I plugged it in overnight on an outlet timer set for 6.5 hours (they said the fast charger charges in approx five hours, I don’t know if that’s fact or not yet, and I heard on first full recharge to go to 100%.
The next morning I went to unplug it (the outlet had already turned off several hours before), and went to work. When I came home I was a bit worried about letting it sit at full too long. It had lightly rained but already dried off, so I took it for a quick ride. When I turned it on it showed 98%, but over the next ten minutes of riding the numbers jumped around a bit, but pretty quickly got down to 81%, which was surprising. I wanted to save juice for my next longer ride, but as I was getting off it and pushing into the garage where I store it (mostly finished garage w HVAC) I saw it jump back up to 87%!
Is all this jumping around fairly normal for a scooter? Is it the BMS trying to adjust to conditions? Anything to worry about?
