After much deliberating and trying to save $$ only to realize in the end that the unicorn I sought would separate me from a bit more hard earned cash than I had initially hoped, I bit the bullet and went in on the base model klima.
I had heard about the brake sensor issues, and I do have that problem; apparently a warranty replacement will be sent. For now I disabled the problem sensor while I await the replacement. I still have some light squeaking of my brakes I have to decipher. I did some slight caliper adjustment, but overall things seem really solid. Now of course anytime you spend a meaningful amount of cash to have something be 'less than perfect' it's always a bit of a disappointment, but sh*t happens, and most scooter models I've come across in the marketplace have some small amount of gremlins, so it just seems to be par for the course in this industry currently, unfortunately.
BUT.... all that being said....., and keeping in mind that my only other personally owned scooter was a gen1 Aovopro m365 clone... All I can say is:
THE RIDE ON THIS THING KICKS SO MUCH ASS!!
Omg it feels like I'm flying! I'm able to navigate so much more complex terrain without concern, and if I need to make a maneuver, or get ahead of some traffic of group of pedestrians etc., OMG this thing has soooo much HAUL ASS it's ridiculous!
I was able to make some serious ground, going through a chain of local cities, and never once had a concern about battery, etc. This is a very new experience for me, my aovopro I bought used from a friend probably got 9 miles a charge...maybe lol.
So, being a new performance scooter user, I obviously don't have a lot to compare this scooter to, but it feels like flying something with a jet engine propulsion system. When I got off after riding this evening I was still feeling the force in my body! The suspension is so buttery smooth, I tightened it down a bit more because I like a bit of tactile feedback, but even still, it's pure butter.
At first when I was initially getting my test drive on I was honestly afraid it was going to be more power than I could handle! Then I realized that it was in 'X' mode (Turbo) by default! Sport mode is definitely more my speed for the time being, and honestly once I popped it into sport mode it was a gratifying sensation of "ahhhh yes, THAT'S PERFECT right now! Maybe one day soon I'll grow into turbo mode driving, but I'm easing into it for the time being!
I will try and keep any interested people posted as my impressions evolve, but if anyone out there was hesitating w/ regard to the Klima, I can only say that I truly love the way that this thing rides! It's like a smooth, controlled rocket ship of power. The overall build quality just feels so solid and sturdy. I'm thoroughly impressed over all.
Cheers to all those that kept subtly dropping the '... nami klima' hints, even though it was slighlty out of my price range! :) I'm SO glad I did it! It's an awesome scooter so far!
