Will fast chargers reduce battery longevity?

I heard something to the effect of the fact that standard chargers protect the longevity of a battery better and fast chargers shorten his life. Is there any truth to this?

I have a Nami Clima arriving soon and apparently it’s Shipping with only a fast charger and not a standard one right now. I want to make sure I’m not going to be damaging the battery long-term by strictly using this fast charger, or using it right out of the box for first time charge rather than purchasing a separate standard charger.
