I’m wondering what style of helmet is sort of the lightest, most breathable one can get away with while still being protected?

Do you have different helmets for different purposes?

For instance running to the corner store or cruising the neighborhood vs high speed driving in the suburbs or rural zones, or off-roading?

I know me, and if I’m being honest, if a helmet is too heavy, hot and cramped I will avoid putting it on in less extreme circumstances.

I also know after what I just spent on a scooter I’m definitely not spending $350 on a helmet. I’ve looked at used in my area and there are some options, but I’m guessing that the less expensive helmets are also less comfortable.

Any suggestions on styles and brands? Will a decent bike helmet be fine for lighter trips to the store, etc? I mean if I’m truly going to go 15mph to the corner store I may forgo, I’m not going to lie, but if I’m even remotely tempted to joyride I want to be safe!

I know full face is what’s suggested so that’s what I’ve been looking at.
