Can you buy group camping tickets without a wristband?

Here's my predicament:

In my crew we're trying to group camp with, quite a few of them are first-time buyers and will have to try and buy tomorrow.

Given how today went, it seems likely quite a lot of us, if not all the first timers, will have to go through the exchange to get their ticket.

Assuming that they don't find a ticket before group camping passes go on sale, is it possible to buy the group camping pass without one?

I know they'll be able to find a ticket 100% closer to the festival, I just don't want to miss out on group camping if they're unable to secure a ticket before April/May/June.

Any previous group campers have any insight here?
