Should I get Xbox over PS so i can play Elder Scrolls 6 when it finally comes out?

I have a Switch. Decided to try skyrim 2 years ago and I am absolutely in love. Unfortunally Switch games are super expensive. So i am contemplated getting either a PS or XboX (I would not get the newest ones).
Will ES6 only release on Xbox or might it release on other consoles as well later in it's run? How likely is it that it will be compatible with an older console?
