Question about the legendary achievements.

I love this game and want to get all of the achievements, but I have a question about the achievements relating to getting the legendary things (spells, incants, armaments, and talismans). I'm on NG right now, and so I'm wondering, do I need to get them all in one journey? Or is it just on the character? Thanks!
