Controller keeps disconnecting

I use a PS4 controller connected by micro usb, it often gets disconnected in the middle of me playing without the cord even popping out. It shifts slightly and then it’s disconnected and I get killed by some bottom tier bitch. Any suggestions for a fix? Better cord? Connect my controller wirelessly somehow?
