Anyone else feel kinda relieved when you lose your runes in a boss fight??

I'm not saying I like losing runes but there is a relief when the boss kills you before you recover them. It's like suddenly I can go all out with no fear I'll lose my runes. I've been stressing my runes against fire giant for the last 2 hours but after I lost them I was able to focus solely on the fight and I won the next round against him.
