Having trouble after patch

I downloaded the patch on steam, it was super slow and seamed crazy big for a patch. Now my game will start and run but at the first loading bar it just stops around 85%. It’s not locked up because I can still scroll through the menu tips, but it won’t load into the game. What should I do?
