Rapiers are back baby! Having trouble with Magic or the Astrologer Class? Use a rapier. You can buy one at the Roundtable area when you first unlock it.

It's not great for the bigger heavy poise foes (save magic for them) but it absolutely wipes the smaller foes and can clear groups easier than a sword or axe.

R1 uses extremely low stamina and just poke, poke and poke some more! Pokes are faster than swings so you can even interrupt attacks sometimes and get off like 4 pokes before the enemy attacks back. Use R2 charge for even stronger pokes! Some enemies you can poke like 6 times and it will instantly break their guard allowing you to do a counter attack.

After killing Godrick, I was given a 8 Rogiers Rapier at the Roundtable which has almost double the length of the other rapiers. It's like poking with a long sword! Not gonna lie though. Godrick was not easy to fight, even with summons, so I wouldn't recommend aiming for this weapon right away.
