I've been playing this game for 3 months now. At first I kinda hated it. This is my first Souls game and I found it both intimidating and impenetrable. I felt like I had no direction and no clue what to do or how to improve. But after 26 or so hours of gameplay, I love it! The world is mysterious still but I love that. I still get my ass handed to me time and time again but Iv learned my strengths in combat. I love being able to explore the world at my own pace, coming across random side quests, fighting new enemies and them whooping my ass then learning them and then kickin the shit out of them. I like that when I find someone too tough I can just leave them for another day. I get into loops of killing monsters, ruin hoarding and leveling up and Ive barely touched the main story. Even when I die over and over and over again I am still having a blast. I am so excited to dive even deeper into this game. Also I love how strange and isolating the world feels. It's like a surreal dark fantasy dream and Im on a journey through this world.
