Am I wasting my points

Because I want a tank strength hero build I have been equipping any Armour that has higher physical negation then my other pieces of gear. Because of that I had to put allot of points into stamina so I don't fat roll. As a tank am I wasing my points getting the levels to wear this gear or am I doing OK.
