Can’t exit out of starting area in convergence mod.

I touch the bright yellow door and then I’m getting blinded by the light but then I just stay in place and eventually the animation ends and I’m able to push open the wooden door that is there in unmodded elden ring. I don’t get transported to the next area. Any idea why I can’t do this.
