Support weapons?

So pretty much every build I have sk far has a spearhead of master shots and expert crafters with 6 vibro cannon support weapons.
I find their potential with these two synergies to be astronomical for their point costs, but at the same time heavy support is the best role in craftworlds, so a lot is competing for those slots.
What do you typically run instead? How do you feel about support weapons even after wound roll caps?
