Am I doing something wrong? Stuck on Tachyon.

How many soul eggs do I need to progress to the next egg? I haven't even discovered what it is yet.
I have 16,500 soul eggs, and I get around 2-3 thousand soul eggs every prestige. I've been putting almost all of my golden eggs into the Soul Food upgrade. Is it supposed to be this slow or am I just not doing things right?
