I've (39M) been on Venlafaxine HCL ER 37.5 mg paired with Bupropion (aka Wellbutrin) HCL XL 150 mg for over four years after having massive anxiety and depression when I started a new job. At first the combo seemed pretty good and it absolutely helped anxiety and depression for me but the side effects... Ugh. Sex drive including performance issues. Bad night sweats. Etc.

After 4 years of accepting this as my new normal I have only had my sex drive continue to dwindle. It hasn't hit zero, but getting and maintaining an erection has been a chore at best and often, at worst, I'm just not in the mood for sex or any self play. Ugh. I'm too young for this and it's affecting my marriage. I've decided to quit Ven but stay on Bupropion (Wellbutrin) solo for a bit to see if I can still keep at least some of the anxiety and depression at bay while regaining a healthy sex drive, hopefully.

Now tapering off the 37.5 mg Venlafaxine per my PCP's schedule and at about 2 weeks in with my final pill tomorrow morning I'm not sleeping well at all. Waking up frequently at 2-4 AM and can't fall back asleep (in bed writing this). Also slightly more irritable than usual.

Really hoping things turn around for me without Venlafaxine in my system. It seems many here still are feeling shitty even after quitting Ven.

Anyone have similar experiences, especially on this particular drug combo? I'm glad I found this sub and appreciate the support and insight offered!
