Post Body

After a lifetime on Lamictal and several SSRI's, I'm starting Effexor. It's so hard for me to understand the difference between meds and how they work, but I want to try as I'm actually putting in substantial effort with medication now (before I barely put any effort in in terms of explaining my mental illness to professionals, researching drugs, forming my own opinions etc). My question is, how do you understand the difference between the effects of SSRI's and SNRI's? How has Effexor been different for you than a SSRI, if at all?

P.S. I'm using medication to treat severe anxiety (and the side effects of said anxiety like nausea and headaches) and C-PTSD :)
