Is Haabersti really inconvenient for visiting Tallinn?

I hope this is the correct sub to post this, and thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Will be visiting Tallinn for 3 nights, driving up from Riga.

Plan is to drive up to the city in late afternoon, explore it the following day, tour the countryside the third (Lahemaa NP most likely), and take a ferry to Helsinki in the morning.

For various reason, we can be a little particular about our lodgings, and found a place we really like in Haabersti. Says 10 minutes from Old Town. Is that a problem? Budget is not a concern and taxis/Bolt/Uber/whatever works will be fine. But will we be missing out on experiencing the city if we stay there?

Thanks!
