Advice for renting out a bedroom in Edmonton?

Hi guys,
I've got a spare room in my townhouse that I'm thinking of renting out in order to save on some living expenses.
Has anyone had experience with finding a room mate in Edmonton? Are there any apps or websites that are worth checking out? Any horror stories of what I should avoid? Just general information you think I should have. I've rented out rooms before, but it was always to friends and I don't want to go that route again.
